Previous to 2001, I had been a performer on both the alto and baritone saxophones. Two national tours, funded by the Canada Council, were undertaken in 1995 and 1998. As a result of two recordings which were promoted, I was voted Top Canadian Baritone Saxophonist in the 1993, 1994 and 1999 Jazz Report Awards.

The videos featuring "Airegin" and "Old Devil Moon" were shot while we were on the Canadian tour of 1998 in Vancouver on the Vickry Gabereau show. Satin Doll was shot at the Toronto Downtown Jazz festival where I led a band with four saxophones called "Reed All About It"
